Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

This is an ice rink so wear something layered and warm. Socks must be worn with rental skates. Young children should wear a helmet(bicycle, hockey, etc.) for protection. The rink does not provide helmets. However, socks and gloves are for sale at the front desk.

Where can I put my skates on?

There is a warming room area to put on your skates. Unless you have skate guards, please do not wear your skates while walking in the upper lobby or the stands area. It will ruin the floor and the skate blade.

What sizes do skate rentals come in?

Rental skates are available in sizes ranging from Toddler 6 to Adult 14. Half sizes are not available. We recommend sizing down for a snug fit.

Are skate helpers available?

Adult and child size skating aids are available free of charge while supplies last.

How long are public skating sessions?

Public sessions normally last two hours long. A 10 minute intermission may occur midway through the session so the zamboni can clean the ice. Guests can arrive anytime during the two hour session. Guests who do not skate are welcome in for free and can watch from the warming room or the stands.

Can non-skaters come and watch?

Non-skaters are welcome to watch free of charge. You can watch from the stands or the lobby viewing window. Please don’t block the ice surface entrance.

What activities are not permitted during public skate?

Skaters are not permitted to play tag, skate recklessly, gouge the ice or pick up snow. Figure skaters are not allowed to perform any movement where the leg is lifted in a manner that poses a safety risk to other skaters. Skates are not allowed to be worn in the stands, stairs or upper lobby area unless skate guards are used.

Are concessions offered at the Ice Rink?

Yes. The snack bar offers hot and cold drinks, hot dogs, soup, pretzels, popcorn, candy and nachos!
